So the holidays continues….
#5 Jun – Belfast
This trip was a very last minute decision, my brother was visiting and he had a wedding to go to so we went along for the ride. This is my 2nd time to Belfast and I have to say this trip was a lot better than my 1st!!!
We actually did a hop on hop off bus tour and it was great value for money. The city itself is beautiful and have many notes worthy sights but my favourite has to be the Giant Causeway!!! It was so amazing to be there, standing among all the rocks made me feel so small. We again did a tour as it was much easier and the driver/tour guide had some great info. Not to mentioned we drove by the sight of Castle Black (those of you who are GOT fans will know what I’m talking about)
#6 Jul – Lisbon
Now this trip to me was inspired by the website http://www.placestoseeinyourlifetime.com/ . I was so inspired by the photo I saw of Sintra that I just had to go see for myself and I was not disappointed!
This trip was brilliant and we had the best weather as you can see in the pics below. There were so many “must-see” historical sights, beautiful beaches, watching the World Cup final outdoors and we even managed to squeeze in a festival!!! I really tried to keep the photos to a minimum but….I really want to show you….
#7a Sep – Seville
I’ve split this into 2 parts for the pics to make more sense. We planned the Spain trip
as I felted that I didn’t get enough sun over the Summer so I was determined to prolong it. (This is evident in my next post too!!! Lol!!!)
I really loved Seville with its winding and narrow streets! It was very easy to get lost in but it didn’t really matter as each street had their own characteristics. It also felt so safe that walking around at 2am in alleys were no problem at all! The only low points we had was when the BF got so sick that he couldn’t get out of bed on the last day so I walked around on my tot for a few hours and we had a few hours of downpour!
#updated 30.06.15: just rereading my post and realised I so should have added a pic of the garden of the Alcázar of Seville!!! This is the must visit place of Seville especially if you’re a GOT fan as this was set for the Water gardens of Dorne!!!
#7b Sep – Madrid
Now I thought I’d love Madrid as I’ve read/heard so much good thing about it. Yet I’m actually not a major fan. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a beautiful city with lots to see but compared to Seville it just felt too busy…oh and we had the worst lunch there ever!!!
I love your blog, your posts are all so beautiful! I just followed you, it would be great if we can support each other 🙂 I am so glad I got to discover you ❤
